| It is Christmas Day and I am sitting here enjoying being home with my family. We had our family Christmas this morning! I got lots of cool stuff but for me it is all about the thought that goes into the gift! I love picking gifts that I know the person I am giving to will love. It is so fun! So, I watched two of my dear friends get married this weekend! The wedding was absolutely beautiful. The couple have been such an awesome example to me as they have always put God first. Their union was not just two becoming one, but three. Someday I hope to have that kind of love with someone here on earth, but for now I am going to continue to build my love relationship with my God and Saviour. I wish it would snow....I really want to build a snowman! | | |
| hey friends kairos is going great i learned something this week that we need to focus on how much God loves us, not on how much we love him try it it will transform your perspective i also learned that when you think about it, Christianity is not easy, but it is simple: LOVE ONE ANOTHER! i need to learn how to love everyone as a child of the KING! so what is going on in everyone's life? i would love to hear about what God is doing in your lives! | | |
| Wow. What a week! Kairos is up and running and I am having a BLAST! There are 16 other students involved in the same program as me and they are all super cool! My host family is amazing and I am having so much fun getting to know them! God is already teaching me so much through the classes that I am taking. Class is just another word for speakers who come in and talk on specific topics. This first week our speakers spoke on worship and intercessory prayer. Each speaker perked my brain in areas that I had never noticed before. Think about this statement: WORSHIP WITH MUSIC IS PRACTICE FOR REAL LIFE. Whoa....pretty deep. Go ahead and read it again........yeah, still pretty deep. So today was my second time to take in a service at Life Church (the church we will be interning at). The atmosphere is amazing. Everyone is very welcoming and the pastor always goes right to the heart of the matter he is preaching on and with so much passion. His passion for sharing God's Word with us is contagious! But as I was worshipping with music this morning, that phrase WORSHIP WITH MUSIC IS PRACTICE FOR REAL LIFE kept popping into my thoughts. I sing songs of praise and adoration but as soon as I step out of that church building am I continuing my praise and adoration for my Father through my life? I think I'll continue to chew on that one for awhile! :) This week we have a speaker who is also one of the pastors at Life Church. He is going to speak on Personal Foundations. Then on Friday and Saturday we have a speaker named Dean Sherman. He will be talking about relationships........da da da da. Haha. I am looking forward to hearing from both of them! :) Well, I hope all is well for you all! Give me a call anytime! Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:1-2 | | |
| kairos starts tomorrow. i am really excited. | | |
| Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone. Colossians 4:2-6 So, I have been pondering about all the people I know who do not know the Lord as their personal Savior. And then the Lord lead me to Colossians the other night. Yeah, God is just pretty cool. I love it when He practically brings your thoughts to life in His Word. I just thought I would share that with you all. I hope that it encouraged you as much as it encouraged me to stand up and be BOLD for JESUS! | | |
